Hello friends, family, bloggers, and other readers,
My name is Erika Wilhelm. I live in the United States and I have been accepted to be an AFS student in Italy. It has always been my dream to travel and I am thrilled that it is finally coming true. There are many reasons why I want to go abroad. Some of them include learning another language, experiencing a new culture, and finding more about myself that I didn't know before.
I expect to gain a lot from my experience. I expect to meet new friends and family, learn new traditions, speak a second language, and learn more about my Italian heritage. In return I will share my experiences, knowledge, culture, and friendship to all the people I meet. I hope to make a difference whether its small or big.
To make my dream and hope become a reality I need help financing my AFS experience. I realize my year long AFS experience will cost a good amount of money. I have already started baby sitting, refereeing soccer, and applying for summer jobs. Besides earning money I am not spending as much money as I normally would. I am only buying what I NEED not what I WANT. I am trying my hardest to make as much money as possible but with your help it can become easier. I am asking you to please follow my blog and or donate money to make my trip to Italy come true. It doesn't matter how little or how much you donate, but as long as you contribute, that would mean the world to me, literally and figuratively.
